Industrial wastewater can be defined as the pollution created by the industrial establishment during the production phase.
Due to its characterization, this wastewater requires the use of a design that includes processes that support and complement each other, unlike domestic wastewater treatment. This design can only be achieved with the projects prepared by engineers who have sufficient knowledge and experience in this field and by following the developing technology. Because in the design or process selection of the facility, solutions are produced by considering parameters such as minimum operating cost, waste reduction (sewage sludge) optimization, land use, investment cost, and efficient operation of the facility.
As Felimare Engineering and Foreign Trade Company, we are involved in many different fields of the industry (food, beverage, paper and pulp, textile, chemistry, petro-chemistry, mining, etc.) with our experience.

Biological Treatment Processes
a. Anaerobic Treatment Processes
The anaerobic treatment process, which is applied as the first stage of biological treatment, is suitable for industrial wastewater with high pollution. Thanks to this process, the design capacity of the aerobic process decreases and energy and space savings are provided for the entire facility.
- Fully Mixed Anaerobic Reactor,
- Anaerobic Filter Reactor,
- Anaerobic Contact Type Reactor,
- Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Bed Reactor (UASB))
- Expanded Granular Sludge Bed (EGSB)
b. Aerobic Treatment Processes
These systems are applied alone or following anaerobic treatment in line with the characterization of wastewater. The effluent quality is brought to the standards with the processes that provide nitrogen removal and biological phosphorus removal with nitrification/denitrification along with conventional carbon removal.
